The infant whole-body venipuncture model is a simulation tool designed for nursing teaching and clinical training. Its main purpose is to help trainees master the basic skills and operational key points of infantile venipuncture. Infant veins are small and fragile, making clinical puncture difficult and risky. Therefore, training through models can effectively reduce practical risks.
This model is designed based on the anatomical features of infants. Simulated blood vessels are set up on the back of the hands, the back of the feet, the scalp and the limbs. Trainees can practice puncturing at different locations, experience the positioning of blood vessels, the control of the Angle and depth of needle insertion, and judge the success of the operation through the feedback of blood return. Repeated training not only enhances trainees' sensitivity to the touch of blood vessels but also improves their ability to respond in emergency situations.
The ultimate goal is to provide trainees with a safe and repeatable practice platform, enabling them to master the skills of infant venipuncture proficiently before entering clinical practice, reducing trauma and discomfort to the children, improving the success rate of venipuncture and the quality of care, and laying a solid foundation for clinical work.
